Our Team
Per Casey, President & CEO, Application Architect

On any given day, Per divides his time between project and client consultation, conferencing with Tenrec’s leaders (i.e., listening to their great ideas), and managing the company’s long-term strategy and growth.
Per has logged in over 20 years in the technology industry. Prior to founding Tenrec in 1997, Per worked as a technology teacher/director at a K-8 school in San Francisco, CA, and as the marketing and IT manager for a publishing house in Berkeley, CA.
Per lives with his wife, two kids, and dog in Portland, OR. When not at work he hopes you’ll find him camping, fishing, or travelling the world, but most likely he’s just in his backyard mowing the lawn or in the kitchen unloading the dishwasher (again).

Mike Ingala, Director of Technical Services

Mike oversees the technical components of Tenrec’s services, which is to say he manages most of what we do.
Mike’s experience as a team-lead and senior web developer makes him a key technical resource and top-notch web developer for the Tenrec team. His art degree is an added resource, giving Mike the ability to see the “big picture” on the technical and design aspects of a project.
At home Mike is a family man. He loves being a dad, and regularly volunteers at his kids’ school. He also enjoys brewing beer, attending beer festivals, and camping.
Ty Emanuel, Quality Assurance Manager

Ty has been working with Tenrec for over eight years and directs Tenrec’s quality assurance programs. Over the years, Ty has developed a discerning eye for code and design discrepancies across the various browsers. In addition to his excellent eye for detail, Ty has developed a thorough quality assurance process which he applies to all of Tenrec’s projects.
Greg Clapp, Senior Web Developer

Greg is Tenrec’s senior web developer and the lead programmer working on Darwin Site Manager.
Greg boasts extensive experience in object-oriented programming for the web and has worked with a long list of programming languages and development platforms. Prior to working at Tenrec, Greg was a web developer with WaMu in Seattle, WA.
Greg is active in the “Tiki culture” of Portland.
Brannan Willson, Client Relations Manager

Brannan is responsible for Tenrec’s client relationships. He uses his in-depth knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) to help our client’s websites rank better in search results. He also has extensive knowledge of email marketing techniques and best practices.
Brannan has over 10 years of experience in account management.
Brannan freely admits that he’s a “workaholic,” but when he’s not working, he spends time enjoying his family, playing guitar, or running.
Laura Toledo, Account and Marketing Manager

In her role as an account manager extraordinaire Laura facilitates and manages client relationships. She works with clients to consult on content strategy, digital marketing practices, and social media. In addition, she is responsible for Tenrec’s online marketing program.
Prior to working for Tenrec, Laura spent 5+ years as an in-house legal marketer for a “top 10” law firm in Minneapolis, where she managed the firm’s communications.
Laura is actively involved with the Legal Marketing Association at the local and national levels. She enjoys researching the latest internet technologies, reading, writing/blogging, camping, fishing, and spending time with her husband and two crazy dogs (a one-eyed Pomeranian and long-haired mini-Dachshund).

Ryan Abeling, Project Manager

As a project manager, Ryan acts as a liaison between clients and Tenrec’s web development team. His mission is to translate a client’s goals and objectives into interactive and highly usable websites.
Ryan has picked up experience in project management and analysis in several industries, including web development, publishing, and multimedia production. He also has a solid knowledge-base of social media marketing and web design, coupled with a strong writing and editing background.
Originally an East Coast resident, Ryan moved to Portland from Brooklyn, NY, four years ago after working at a large publishing house for half a decade.
In his spare time, Ryan is an essential member of Portland's budding startup scene, having founded the fastest-growing online culture publication in the Northwest, bePortland.com.
Casey Krimmel, Designer and HTML/CSS Engineer

Casey designs websites and related marketing or visual materials (holiday cards, emails, graphics, etc.). She slices designs with CSS and HTML into working web pages, ensuring websites match designs. She also makes updates to existing sites and designs Tenrec’s branding and marketing materials.
Casey has a BFA in Visual Communications from Washington University in St. Louis, and a certificate in web design from Portland State University’s Multimedia Professional Program. Before working for Tenrec, Casey worked as a designer for a small web marketing company.
In her spare time, the native Oregonian dances (ballet and modern) and enjoys sketching and water-coloring.
Brandon Barnes, Senior Web Developer

Brandon is a developer who has an expert’s eye for details, and loves creating web applications that are as beautiful as they are useful.
Brandon has a background in design, and has done work for multiple high-profile companies, including Camel Tobacco, Mello Yello, Clear Channel Communications, and Gulfstream.
